Raise Your Vibe

Maybe you've heard about frequencies, described something has high vibe or low vibes, or felt like you can sense different energies.
Maybe you believe in it without really knowing what it means. Maybe you think it's a little too woo woo.
Whether you are a believer or a skeptic, you're in the right place. Frequencies and energy are real and there is emerging research to back it up!
Let's dive in.
What are frequencies?
First, let's start with The Law of Vibration, the second of 12 universal laws (law of attraction, law of cause and effect, law of relativity are a few examples). This law states that everything – literally everything, down to an atom – is always in motion and vibrates at a specific frequency.
Explained another way: frequencies are extremely small vibrations that generate electromagnetic energy waves. Research has found that the vibrations and the associated energy waves can cause changes at a cellular level, which then affects the body's function.
There are mixed thoughts on the range of a healthy human body, but it is thought to be between 65 and 100 mHz . Researched Bruce Tainio states that disease starts when frequency drops below 58. A very sickly, near death human body has a frequency of 15.
Negative emotions also operate at lower frequencies. Shame at 20 and guilt 30 versus love at 500 and joy at 540.
Why do they matter?
When you start to understand that sickness and negative emotions – fear or anger – operate at lower frequencies than positive emotions like – love or peace – it can become easier to shift into a different state using foods, fabrics, or sounds to support this shift. Your thoughts and emotions are just things happening inside of you; they are vibrations interacting with your environment.
It might sound woo-woo, but these concept are not new (though the research to scientifically support it is just beginning to emerge).
How can I positive support my own energy frequencies?
One of the (seemingly) easiest ways to support positive frequencies is through the fabric that you put on your body. Dr. Heidi Yellen conducted a study in 2003 that determined the following:
- The human body has a signature frequency of 100 (again, there is a range here)
- Organic cotton has a frequency of 100 (non-organic is 70)
- Linen and wool both have a frequency of 5,000 (!!!!) – note, when worn together, these two materials cancel each other out – * le sigh* The theories on why this is were frankly too scientific for me, do your own research :)
- Rayon, polyester and silk have a frequency of 15. Remember, this is the frequency of a near death human (major bummer on silk)
There are other ways you can support yourself, too. Type in frequencies in your preferred music app and a myriad of options will come up. It should specify the number and the purpose, but some favorites are 528 for love and anxiety relief, 777 to attack luck, and 888 for abundance and wealth.
Final Note
In today's world, it is dang near impossible to always dress in frequency-improving clothes without feeling a little crunchy and a little granola. All or nothing is never the goal. A wise friend of mine likes to say "always choose both." So, that's our recommendation. If you are finding yourself in a funk, sick, postnatal, preparing or recovering from surgery, etc., choosing linen, wool, or cotton could be hugely beneficial to you.
AND, there are so many fun clothes out there in fabrics that might not help your frequency, but there is something to said about the joy that the perfect outfit brings to you.
Beam's retail options aims to have at least 50% of clothing inventory be stylish cotton, linen, or wool options to support your frequency increasing journey, without feeling too crunchy-granola ;)
